Exchange of large files

For the exchange of large files with external partners the SCC offers the service bwSync&Share as data transfer option. This service can also be used by external partners.

Whether the services gigamove and fex.belwue, which are operated by external partners, can still be used by KIT employees is unfortunately no longer apparent after the deletion of the old SCC information.

The service GigaMove is operated by the RWTH Aachen for members of the DFN-Verein and allows a transfer of 10 GB per transfer. The files can then be accessed by several people.

The file transfer service F*EX is operated by the Landeshochschulnet Belwü, allows up to 65 GB, but only a direct transfer to one person.

If an external person wants to provide a large file for the KIT, the KIT employee has to register at https://gigamove.rz.rwth-aachen.de/login and then request the file from this external person. The external partner will then receive an e-mail with a link where the file can be stored.
