Definition of an automatic email notification in OWA
Absence messages or notifications when an employee leaves can be defined in Outlook or OWA (Outlook Web Access).
Procedure in OWA:
in your browser (Firefox or Internet Explorer will work in any case) enter owa.kit.edu. Username is preceded by the KIT account including "KIT\" or your own KIT e-mail address. Then select "Settings" and then "Options" in the upper right corner of the main window:
Now you have to select "Organize e-mail" in the left menu and then "Automatic replies" at the top. Then activate the option(s) to activate the notification text and enter a suitable text. Please note that internal and external mail partners can be treated separately and differently:
It is up to you whether you define a time period for sending the automatic message or not.
