Equipment rental

An equipment loan voucher should be carried along for taking a KIT device with you.

Disposal of devices

All inventoried equipment must be disposed of by a disposal order. If you wish to dispose a computer/printer/monitor, please contact Alexander Streili and Claudia Roesner, and get the device in your own rooms until disposal starts. As soon as several devices have been collected, Alexander Streili creates the disposal order and brings the devices to the central warehouse.

Inventoried devices may not be thrown into the boxes in the garage.

Electronic waste

According to the operating instructions of 25 June 2008, electronic waste must be separated as follows:

  1. Electronic waste
    for example: Small devices
  2. personal computer
    for example: Computer units
  3. PC monitors and tube screens
  4. PC periphery
    for example: keyboard, mouse, printer

In the basement in building 435 there is a box pallet for "small" electronic waste. For data protection reasons, no PCs and notebooks with built-in hard disks may be disposed of there, nor may inventoried devices.

Hard disks must be disposed of separately in a special aluminium box at the BBA.

Larger devices must be disposed of via Alexander Streili.

empty toner and ink containers

If offered by the manufacturers, the empty containers must be returned to the manufacturers (offers e.g. Xerox and HP). Otherwise there is a wooden box in building 435 in the garage.

floppy disks, CDs, DVDs, hard disks

For all data media that must be disposed of in accordance with data protection regulations, there is an aluminium box in the workshop. Please contact the BBA if necessary.
